FROM SPOTORNO TO FINALE
Cross from Spotorno, via Val Ponci: from the railway station of Spotorno direct towards North, skirting the railroad. Turn on the right and follow the main road that directs to the East extremity of Spotorno. Pay attention to the small road that climbs up among the houses on the left. Then find a large road (via Laiolo) with indication "Agriturismo Mae Vigna" and turn beginning to climb up (km 0,9)... All itinerary »
24H FINALE:
The 24 hour in Finale is a sport/game/music/gastronomic event consisting of a relay race on mountain bikes.
Participation is in teams, subdivided into categories of 4, 8 and 12 members or in the special ‘Solo’ category and for 24 hours you race, ‘non-stop’, along a marked route.
The event zone returns to its original location, less roomy but more welcoming.
The new route is about 7,400 metres and is situated on the plateau of Le Manie in Finale Ligure. It offers a mix of off-road ways and paths with a level difference of about 200 metres at an altitude of 300 metres just above the coast.
New this year is that the route can be pedalled in its entirety; there is breathtaking scenery and the perfume of the Mediterranean scrub, the panting of competitors, lights flashing in the dark, a festive atmosphere, music and as much food as you want which all characterize this really special event.
The 24 hours is an unique event due to the merit of those teams who interpret its spirit in the right way: the integrators leaving space for demijohns of wine, strips of veal cutlets, which are just as energetic but have a different content of fat.
The music, ‘the team town’ and the city of bikers make up the rest and transform the 24 hours into a unique manifestation.
FROM VEZZI PORTIO TOCOLLA SAN. GIACOMO
For mountain bike fans start from the Town Hall of Vezzi Portio: go down for 2 km and then suddenly climb up until a plain; cross a cement slope and reach the top of Monte Mao with its wonderful panoramic view. Here is always possible to find paragliding fans who glide on the beach.
Moreover from Vezzi Portio you can reach the Rocche Bianche (White Rocks), towards S.Filippo: go uphill keeping the left, until the crossroad with the Provincial Road, then arrive at the Rocche Bianche, turn on the left and after 2 km reach Colla S.Giacomo.
FROM VALLEGGIA TO SPOTORNO
From high Church of Valleggia climb on a steep asphalted road (signal FIE).
Go up for about one km reaching a group of houses, here turn on the right. All itinerary »
